A rose by any other name would smell as sweet
What’s in an name
It’s hard. Trying to come up with a clever name for your business. Admitted: We almost fell into the trap of naming our business after what we thought potential clients might respond to, or recognise us by. Luckily we went with the name that most resonated with our idea of culture and the kind of work we do – and not the least the kind of work, we would like to do.
“Os andre” is a Danish term meaning something like “the rest of us”, “others”, “us” – but in the quality of being an alternative to something else. And this is how we see ourselves: As an alternative. We do not wish to be your regular bureau/agency/studio/call-it-what-you-like, but rather a trusted partner, a close cooperator. No, we’re not a charity. Yes, it’s still a business. We’re all professionals here – just don’t forget the values, the human touch, what makes a difference. That is what sets us apart, what makes us “others”.
